Refuse Collection

Your Collection Schedule

Household refuse and yard waste is collected weekly, Monday through Friday. Place refuse and yard waste together at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on your collection day and no sooner than 6 p.m. on the day before collection.

Refuse is Collected in Cans, Plastic Bags and Refuse Bins

Cans and plastic bags must be closed and weigh less than 50 pounds.

Refuse bins are wheeled trash bins purchased from the City of Midland and are available in the following size:

  • 95-gallon at $65 each (comparable to 6-8 kitchen-size trash bags; weight limit 200 lbs.)

The Department of Public Services will deliver your purchased bin to your home within 10 business days from the date your order is received.
