To play in MSA league Play your bat must be BOTH
1. On the ASA Certified bat list
2. Be tested by the MSA board and have a
hologram sticker

1.
Bat Testing
(Refer to the banned bat list for banned bats at www.asasoftball.com).
a.
Testing Information
i.
All bats must be ASA approved and must have the
ASA logo.
ii.
ALL bats must be tested and have either the ASA,
MASA, or MSA hologram label affixed to the bat.
iii.
Bats may be spot tested at any time throughout
the season by a committee of the MSA Board.

1.
Is there a fee for bat testing? NO
2.
If my bats are on the approved ASA bat list
do they need to still be checked? YES –
Bats must be tested by MSA Board and have there
hologram on the bat to be used in league play.
3.
Why are bats being checked by MSA? Safety- MSA is trying to keep our league play safe for all players as well as keeping fair play throughout the
league.
4.
Does MGSL (Girls Youth League) have to get there
bats checked? NO
5.
Can you check bats at the office if I bring them
in? NO we can not.
The MSA Board has times posted above to have your bats tested.
6.
I had my bats checked last season do they need
to be re-certified? YES – Each year they will need to be tested
and will have a new sticker applied.
