A popular location
for softball in Midland is the Redcoat Softball Complex (formerly the St.
Charles Park Complex), located on St. Charles Street,
off of Poseyville Rd., a half mile south of the Tittabawassee River. There are 10 softball diamonds at the
complex, and the diamonds are used regularly by the Midland Softball League.
Directions:
Heading south from downtown Midland: Take Poseyville to St. Charles Street; turn west onto St.
Charles Street.
Coming from I-75: Take the U.S. 10 West exit, Exit 162B toward Midland. Travel
about 10 miles until you see the Bay City Road exit; turn left onto Bay City
Road. Once in Midland, keep right on Bay City Road (it turns into Austin
Street) until you reach S. Saginaw Road; turn right. Shortly
after the turn, at James Savage Rd. (just before the Bus. U.S. 10
overpass), take a left. Follow this around until Washington St.; turn right. Go
through two lights, then take a left onto Patrick
Road. Take this as it curves to the right; shortly after the curve, look for Poseyville Road; turn left, and follow Poseyville
for about .7 miles until you see the intersection of Poseyville
and St. Charles St. Take a right at St. Charles.
Once on St. Charles,
there will be two areas designated for softball games: softball diamonds 4-8
are to the right shortly after you’ve turned off of Poseyville
Road. To get to diamonds 9-13, you will need to take a slight jog to the left
onto Whitman Drive after you’ve turned onto St. Charles Street; the diamonds
will be on the left.
