Volunteers Needed

We are in urgent need of volunteers in order to keep our organization functional and to continue our Used Book Sales.  Volunteers are required to be a member of the Friends of the Library.

Following are brief descriptions of needed volunteer positions.

Board of Directors:  Directors are involved in 3 major Used Book Sales per year and the Ongoing Cup and Chaucer Book Sales to raise money and support library projects.  Directors set the budget for requested projects.  We have monthly meetings 9 out of 12 months per year.

Book Sorters:  Sorters meet every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to sort, organize, and box up donated books for storage.

Book Sale Volunteers:  Volunteers may help set-up for the book sales on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday and/or help during the Book Sale itself on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Box Movers:  Box movers transport boxes of books (30 to 50 lbs) from the sorter’s room to the storage room using carts.  Needs vary and are once or twice a month for approximately one hour.

If interested , please call 989-837-3437 and leave a message or email fogadml@yahoo.com.
