MCTV Video Camp for Kids

Instead of watching TV, kids can help make TV! Kids ages 12-17 are invited to sign up to learn how to create a TV program during MCTV’s Summer Video Camp.

There are two four-day camps to choose from this summer:

  • Monday-Thursday, June 20-23, 2011 from 1 - 5 pm
  • Monday-Thursday, July 18-21, 2011 from 1 - 5 pm

Registration is underway at MCTV’s studio in the lower level of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library. MCTV's office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The cost for each class is $50. Campers must be residents of the city of Midland or Midland County.

What The Camp is All About

Through the four-day camps, students will learn how to be a director or technical director, run studio and field cameras, make graphics, and edit video. They will learn these skills by producing half-hour shows that will air shortly after the trainings on MGTV Cable Channel 96.

Call MCTV at 837-3474 for more information.

MCTV is a service of the City of Midland.
