The Master Plan: What It Is, Why It's Important

The City of Midland Master Plan serves as a guide for the future development of the Midland community. It takes a long view of how our community should look and feel 20 years from now. It identifies broad, city-wide goals for Midland as well as specific objectives and strategies.

As new development, infrastructure and opportunities come to Midland, the Master Plan will be referenced to assure that initiatives are generally in line with the goals and objectives Midlanders and City planners identified through the Master Plan update process.

The current Master Plan was adopted in 2013.
