Hello and welcome to the Midland City Police Department webpage. I am Clifford Block and I am Chief of Police for the
city of Midland.
I am a Michigan native, originally from the City of Fenton. In 1992 I began my law enforcement career in the Village of Morrice and the City of Perry. In 1993, I moved to the City of Midland after being offered a position as a patrol officer. I have had the opportunity and pleasure to serve the department and the community as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant, patrol lieutenant, administrative lieutenant, captain, and now as the chief of police. I also served as SWAT team operator and team leader.
