Midland Police Department

The Midland D.A.R.E. program is a non-profit program that is funded through community and corporate donations. D.A.R.E. programming reaches teachers and more than 3,000 students in 22 elementary schools, seven middle schools and five high schools in Midland County.

The D.A.R.E. program is a triangle comprised of parents, police and school officials. D.A.R.E. and the schools build on the base of the parents. All three sides work together to hold the triangle together and make it strong. 

The Midland Police Department has two officers dedicated to teaching the D.A.R.E. program during the winter semester of the school year. They are Midland Police officers Matthew Berchert and Mark Klein.
