Midland Police Department

Traffic safety is a priority of the Midland City Council and the Midland Police Department. This emphasis led to the creation of the Traffic Services Unit in August 2001.

Through a combination of safe driving programs and educational opportunities, the Traffic Services Unit works diligently to make Midland’s streets safer.

Two full-time traffic enforcement officers help to round out the Traffic Services Unit. Officers Jeff Seger and Darin Updike conduct selective traffic enforcement throughout the city and deal with traffic enforcement issues by patrolling areas known to be problematic in the community. They also respond to citizen traffic complaints in localized areas.
