On the dates listed above, citizens may dispose of household items that are considered hazardous, such as chemicals, oil-based paints and stains, pesticides, insecticides, household cleaning products, certain auto products, mercury, and medicines. Also these same dates, homeowners may dispose of electronic items such as cell phones, computers, computer screens, TVs, and other electronic devices that may contain mercury. Old thermometers and fluorescent light bulbs will also be accepted.
To take advantage of this free service, schedule an appointment with the
Midland County Health Department (989-832-6681). Be prepared to indicate the type and amount of materials you wish to drop off. Only residents with appointments will be allowed to drop off materials.
Curbside Collection of Recyclables
Recycling is collected
curbside once each month, Monday through Friday, for all city of Midland residents.

Alternate Resources for Recycling
The Midland Recyclers center at the landfill entrance is a non-profit organization dedicated to
recycling as many materials as possible. Midland Recyclers will accept the following
items at the recycling center:
