2013 City Calendar Photo Contest
Artwork for the City of Midland Calendar/Services Guide highlights
the people, places, and events of the city of Midland as seen through
the eyes of local photographers who submit photos in the City's annual photo
contest. The 2013 City Calendar Photo Contest starts August 17 and runs through
Friday, September 21, 2012.
Individuals are invited to submit color photos of Midland
events, people at work or play in the city, scenic or
historic places around town, or just your favorite snapshot of
life in the city.
Photos of all seasons are encouraged.
Following the Sept. 21 submission deadline, photos will be
gathered together, and a voting process will take place at the
City of Midland. City employees will vote on the photos, and a
final selection committee will narrow down the photos to choose
those that best that represent the city.
Selected photos will appear in the 2013 City Calendar and Services Guide.
There is a
limit of three (3) photo entries per photographer. All photos must
be submitted as color originals, and each photo must have its
own photo entry form. Forms should be attached to the back of
each photo with tape. Calendar photos will be
selected on the basis of originality, creativity, and the quality
of reproduction.
Photo
entries will be accepted at the City Manager’s Office until
5 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012.
Photos submitted through the contest become the property of the City of Midland. Because many of the photos showcase the beauty and uniqueness of our community, they may be used for marketing purposes by the City, such as in City print publications or on this website.
