Hands On Computer Classes!

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be offering free "hands on" computer classes during early June. The Computer lab is provided by the Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative. Class size is limited and reservations are required. Sign up beginning May 19 at the Reference Desk or by phone 837-3449.

Classes will be held in Conference Room C unless shown otherwise.


Learn to Use the Mouse
Learn to use a mouse and get around the computer screen. This class is for people who have little or no experience using a mouse.

  Prerequisite: none

Introduction to Microsoft Windows
Learn to use the basic features of Microsoft Windows. This class will cover Windows XP NOT Windows Vista. This class is for people who have recently begun using Windows at home or work.

  Prerequisite: Experience using a mouse, or the "Learn to Use the Mouse" class

Set up a free Google email account and learn how to view, compose, and send messages. Class members will be setting up a free gmail account to use during the class even if they already have another account.
