World Book Night
Tuesday, April 23, 5:30pm Library Mezzanine.
You’re invited to meet our Geek poster models at a reception. After that, they’ll go out into the community
to give away books as part of the World Book Night campaign. It’s a night to celebrate reading. Attendees
with pictures posted on our Geek display may take their pictures home.

Abraham Lincoln Visits the Library
Thursday, April 25, 7:00pm Library Auditorium.
Abraham Lincoln impersonator, Fred Priebe, will provide historically accurate and entertaining first-person presentations. In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, the program, “Why Did He Wait So Long,” will describe Lincoln’s evolving beliefs about slavery during the Civil War and how he championed its demise.

Join professional photographer Preston Jones in our 2-day workshop, including time for instruction, practice, and
photo sharing. All teens welcome, no experience required. Attendees must bring their own film or digital camera. Registration required.
