Youth Services is offering several opportunities to volunteer throughout the summer. We will need volunteers to help with our movies, assist at programs, and staff our summer reading table. Volunteer opportunities range from single sessions for movies, to more long-term commitments of 2-3 hour shifts.

 We will offer an orientation program in the Story Room for volunteens—Thursday, June 12 @ 2:00pm or Friday, June 13 @ 2:00 pm. You must attend one of these sessions to finalize your volunteen commitment and sign up for volunteen slots.

Some of the opportunities available this summer

Summer Reading Table      Record readers progress and give out prizes. Summer Reading Table hours will be 9:30am-6:30pm Monday-Friday, June 16-August 16. Shifts are 9:30-1pm; 1-3:30pm; 3:30-6:30pm and on program nights 6:30-8:30pm.

Movie Usher      Assist with seating, report attendance, maintain order. Beginning June 11 through August 29 movies are shown on Wednesday mornings @ 10am and Friday afternoons @ 2pm. Time commitment is roughly 2 hours. Friday, June 20, during our Bugabaloo Day, movies will be shown at 10 am and 2 pm.

Program Assistant      Assist with a summer program of crafts, games, or activities. A Bagabaloo Day of games and activities is scheduled for June 20 and our annual Touch-a-Truck Day will be held June 26.
