  What is the Teen Advisory Board?

    The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) was formed to give teens the opportunity to participate in and influence teen services at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library (GADML)

Who can Join?

    Anyone in Grades 6-12 (or equivalent for homeschoolers) is welcome to join TAB.

When will TAB meet?

    TAB will meet once a month for one hour to discuss books, magazines, teen issues, and programming. We will meet the second Saturday of every month during the school year.

how much time will it involve?

    TAB will involve one hour a month for a meeting and any time you choose to devote to reviews, program committees, or other TAB activities and planning.

What will we discuss?

    TAB will meet to share reviews of books, software, magazines, music, and web sites. It will be up to TAB to present ideas for the Teen Summer Reading program and year round programming.

What are the membership requirements?

  • Grades 6-12
  • Able to attend monthly meetings
  • Willing to review books/CD's or magazines orally and in writing for online or published newsletter
  • Willing to participate in TAB discussions and activities
  • Willing to respect the tastes, privacy, and opinions of others.
