Myers                          THE KEEPING ROOM (1997)  When his father joins the Revolutionary War effort and leaves him in charge of the family, Joey fears he may betray his father.       

 

Nixon, J                       Maria’s Story (2001) In Williamsburg, before the start of the revolution, Maria worries that her mother will lose her contract to publish official reports for the British government because she prints anti-British articles in their newspaper.
