CITY OF MIDLAND BOIL WATER NOTICE NO LONGER IN EFFECT

Map of Area Affected by Boil Water Notice**

The Boil Water Notice issued by the City of Midland Friday evening, October 21 for the northeast section of the city is no longer in effect. Residents may return to their normal uses of water.

All testing confirms that the water is safe to drink. There were no findings of contamination of the city's drinking water at any time.

The boil water precaution was in response to low water pressures that resulted from an electrical power outage Friday evening.  City crews flushed water mains to refresh the system.  The boil water notice was simply precautionary to guard against any bacteria that may have entered the water system during the period of low pressure.

The northeast area of Midland includes the Mall area and the areas east of Jefferson, north of Wheeler, east of Swede and north of E. Ashman.

The City of Midland thanks you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter
