LOVE NAMED

CITY’S WATER DEPARTMENT SUPERINTENDENT

David Love will join the City of Midland on Monday, August 6 as the new water department superintendent.

Love comes to Midland from the City of Saginaw where he has worked in various positions of the water department since 1974.  Most recently, since 1993, he served as utilities manager for water purification and pumping.

As water department superintendent, Love will be responsible for the operation of the city’s 48 million gallon water treatment plant, distribution service to more than 16,000 water customers and supervising the water plant’s 30 full-time employees.

“We were impressed with Dave’s extensive background in the field of water treatment, as well as his management experience,” said Director of Utilities Noel Bush.  “He has a lot to offer and will be a great asset to our team.”
