O’LAUGHLIN JOINS CITY AS
LANDFILL SUPERINTENDENT
Scott O’Laughlin has
joined the City of Midland
staff as the new superintendent of Midland’s
Sanitary Landfill.
O’Laughlin,
a native of Auburn,
was most recently a Process Quality Engineer with National Steel Corporation of
Portage,
Indiana. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering
from Michigan
Technological
University.
As landfill superintendent, O’Laughlin will oversee the
day-to-day operations of the landfill and manage the long-term planning and
environmental regulation compliance of the landfill operation.
“Scott’s chemical engineering background and knowledge of
manufacturing and quality control will be a great asset to Midland’s
landfill, ” said Director of Utilities Noel Bush. “We are very happy to have him join our
team.”
