The Michigan Department of Transportation
reports that they are completing work on the Jefferson Ave. bridge over U.S. 10
and planning to reopen the roadway on Sunday, September 29. Intermittent lane closures can be expected
during the upcoming week as finishing work occurs.
Sanitary sewer and water main installation
will close Jefferson Ave. from Joe Mann Blvd. to Julie Ann Dr. beginning
Monday, October 7. The roadway will be
closed weekdays from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. but will be open evenings and
weekends.
During the weekday road closure, motorists
will be detoured using Joe Mann Blvd., Eastman Ave. and Monroe Rd.
The roadway is expected to reopen in
mid-November.
