Midland County has temporarily withdrawn their request that the Midland Planning Commission consider amending the zoning ordinance to include jail facilities and rezoning a parcel of land on M-20 to accommodate the construction of a new Midland County jail facility. The Midland Planning Commission has removed consideration of the rezoning and text amendment petitions from its November 12 Planning Commission agenda.
Midland County has suspended their requests in order to allow additional public discussion on this matter.
