The Midland Police Department Traffic Safety Team and the Midland County Sheriff’s Office investigative road patrols will be participating in the national and state “Click it or Ticket” campaign from November 17-30.

The departments will adopt a zero-tolerance approach toward the use of seatbelts.

More that 500 Michigan law enforcement agencies will participate in this crackdown on unbuckled motorists as part of the national Click It or Ticket mobilization. Locally, the departments will combine efforts to enforce the law and highlight the campaign for steady seatbelt use.

Through the use of seatbelt enforcement zones and team enforcement The Midland County Sheriff’s Office and The Midland Police Department hope to reduce the number of traffic injuries in Midland County this holiday season.
