WALDO AVE. CLOSED FROM WHEELER TO PATRICK
BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10

Waldo Avenue will be closed between Wheeler Street and E. Patrick Road beginning Wednesday, September 10 for water main installation.

Waldo Avenue between Wheeler Street and E. Ashman Street, including the intersection of Waldo and E. Ashman, is expected to reopen by September 17; however, Waldo Avenue will remain closed between E. Ashman Street and E. Patrick Road until the end of October.

When Waldo Avenue is closed from Wheeler Street to E. Ashman Street, traffic will be detoured using Wheeler Street, Swede Avenue, E. Patrick Road and Rockwell Drive. The remainder of the project, between E. Ashman Street and E. Patrick Road, will be detoured using E. Ashman Street, Abbott Road and E. Patrick Road. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid traffic congestions and delays.

The new water main, along with a pump station being installed at the water plant, will help increase water pressure for residents living in northeast Midland. The new water main and pumping station are scheduled to go on line during the summer of 2004.
