EASTMAN AVENUE FROM MONROE ROAD TO JOE MANN BOULEVARD

CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC STARTING ON JUNE 10

Eastman Ave. from Monroe Rd. to Joe Mann Blvd. will be closed to through traffic starting Thursday, June 10 while construction crews perform a street widening and reconstruction project.

Although local traffic will be allowed on Eastman from Monroe Rd. to Joe Mann Blvd., motorists will encounter traffic congestion and possible delays. It is suggested that motorists instead take the planned detour routes of Monroe Rd., Jefferson Ave. and Joe Mann Blvd. during the duration of the two-month project. It is estimated that the project will be completed August 1.

With the 2004 construction season well underway, motorists are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland website at www.midland-mi.org under the e-news heading. Motorists may also check the construction page on the City of Midland website for construction detour maps and details. Look for this on the City of Midland website under the “What’s New” heading.
