TICKETS TO USA SOFTBALL WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM

EXHIBITION GAME IN MIDLAND NO LONGER AVAILABLE

 

Due to an overwhelming response from the public, all 5,000 free tickets to the USA Softball Women's National Team’s exhibition game against the Midland Lady Explorers on July 4 have been given out. Tickets were first available in person at the Midland Parks and Recreation Office beginning June 1, then they were offered through an online form on the City of Midland website starting on June 7.

Midland is the only Michigan stop on a 25-city, nationwide tour for the women’s national team, which is bound for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. The July 4 exhibition game, sponsored by the Midland Parks and Recreation Department and the Midland Area Community Foundation, will take place at Currie Stadium in Emerson Park.

The team, comprised of 15 players and 3 alternates from around the country, will follow the schedule below when visiting Midland:

       12:30-2 p.m.

Batting Practice at Currie Stadium

2-3 p.m.

Game Preparation

3 p.m.
