PORTION OF SOUTH SAGINAW ROAD
CLOSED
FOR CONSTRUCTION STARTING THURSDAY
Beginning Thursday, August 5, South
Saginaw Road from Waldo/Gordonville Road to the south line of Midland County will be closed to through traffic for a Midland
County Road Commission (MCRC) project
to remove and replace the existing pavement and re-establish gravel
shoulders. Access will be provided for
local residents and businesses within the construction limits.
MCRC has established
a detour for South Saginaw Road traffic using Waldo Road, Salzburg Road and Flajole/Gleaner Road. As the detour route includes portions of Saginaw County, please note that South Saginaw Road becomes Midland Road when entering Saginaw County.
It is estimated that
the project will be completed in approximately four to five weeks.
With the 2004 construction season well underway, motorists
are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by
subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland
website at www.midland-mi.org under
the e-news heading. Motorists may also check the construction page on the City
of Midland website for construction
detour maps and details. Look for this on the City of Midland
website under the “What’s New” heading.
