DETOUR ROUTES FOR SOUTH SAGINAW ROAD
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT CHANGED
Planned detour routes for a Midland County Road Commission
(MCRC) project beginning Thursday, August 5 on South
Saginaw Road have been changed.
South Saginaw Road
from Waldo/Gordonville Road
to the south line of Midland County
will be closed to through traffic for a
four- to five-week project to remove and replace the existing pavement
and re-establish gravel shoulders. Detours
for that stretch of South Saginaw Road include Waldo Road, Salzburg Road and M-47.
As the detour route
includes portions of Saginaw County, motorists should be aware that South Saginaw Road becomes Midland Road when entering Saginaw County.
Local residents and
businesses will be provided access to South Saginaw Road within the construction limits.
With the 2004 construction season well underway, motorists
are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by
subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland
website at www.midland-mi.org under
the e-news heading. Motorists may also check the construction page on the City
of Midland website for construction
detour maps and details. Look for this on the City of Midland
website under the “What’s New” heading.
