SOUTH SAGINAW ROAD
CLOSED TUESDAY;
LANE CLOSURES EXPECTED THROUGH AUGUST 31
On Tuesday, August 17, South
Saginaw Road will be closed to traffic south of Mark
Putnam Road for work being performed by The Dow
Chemical Company on their product transfer pipelines, which cross South
Saginaw Road.
This work involves cleaning the exterior of existing pipelines and
trusses with the use of high pressure water.
The road closure is
expected to begin at 8 a.m. and end at
4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Southbound traffic will
be detoured via Mark Putnam Road,
Schuette Road, Waldo
Avenue and Salzburg
Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured via Salzburg
Street, Waldo Avenue
and Bay City Road.
All Dow Chemical and Dow
Corning Corporation gates on South Saginaw Road
will be open and accessible from Salzburg Street.
Starting Wednesday,
August 18, South Saginaw Road
will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8
a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as
work continues. This work involves repainting the pipelines and trusses along
with installation of new pipes. Project completion is scheduled for August 31, 2004. A one-day road
closure is scheduled to take place towards the end of this project for
installation of the new pipes. Detour routes will be the same as listed above.
