ST. CHARLES STREET AND WHITMAN DRIVE

CLOSED STARTING MONDAY

St. Charles Street and Whitman Drive between Poseyville Road and Towsley Street will be closed for a street reconstruction project beginning Monday, October 4.

Since September 27, only a portion of these streets - Whitman Drive from St. Charles Street to Benson Street - had been closed to through traffic. With the full closure in place, motorists are encouraged to follow the posted detour route, which will utilize Poseyville, Ashby and Grey roads.

The project is expected to be complete by October 29.

With the 2004 construction season well underway, motorists are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland website at www.midland-mi.org under the “What’s New/Updates” heading. Motorists may also check the construction page on the City of Midland website for construction detour maps and details. Look for this on the City of Midland website under the “What’s New/Updates” heading.
