CITY OF MIDLAND UTILITIES DIVISION

WEBSITE OFFERINGS EXPANDED

Detailed explanations of how the City of Midland Water and Wastewater Treatment plants and Sanitary Landfill operate, plus answers to common questions about water, sewer, landfill and recycling issues can now be found on the City’s website (www.midland-mi.org).

Internet users can quickly and easily access expanded web pages about the City’s clean, safe drinking water supply and items that are accepted at the Landfill. New information also details the difference between the storm water and sanitary sewer systems, and explains the water and sewer billing process.

“Our goal in expanding the site was to explain how these City services are vital to the health and growth of our community,” said Utilities Director Noel Bush. “The new website offerings will provide a variety of information that is of interest to Midland citizens.”

Online information also includes an explanation of how the City’s fresh water supply travels from Lake Huron to Midland and tips for minimizing flooding on your property. Links to MapQuest® maps to the Water and Wastewater Treatment plants and the Landfill also now appear on the City’s website.

For those without access to the worldwide web, much of this information will continue to be available in hard copy form through the Utilities Division. The Utilities Division is comprised of the Water, Wastewater and Landfill departments.
