STREETS CLOSURES EXPECTED ON THURSDAY

FOR WHEELER STREET WATER MAIN INSTALLATION PROJECT

On Thursday morning, Sept. 2, Washington Street between Meadowbrook Drive and Wheeler Street will be closed while a new water main is installed at the intersection of Wheeler and Washington streets. Washington Street will be reopened by the early afternoon.

Another portion of the water main installation project will close Wheeler Street between Washington Street and Swede Avenue on Thursday afternoon, with the roadway reopening at the end of the day on Thursday.

Detours will be posted to route traffic around the closures.

With the 2004 construction season well underway, motorists are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland website at www.midland-mi.org under the “What’s New/Updates” heading. Motorists may also check the construction page on the City of Midland website for construction detour maps and details.
