ASHMAN STREET REDUCED TO ONE
LANE FROM BAKER TO BUTTLES STARTING MONDAY
Beginning
Monday, June 27, reconstruction of Ashman
Street from Nelson to Buttles streets
will begin. This project involves replacing all the water mains on this segment
of Ashman Street and
removal and replacement of concrete curbs followed by complete pavement
replacement.
During
the first phase of the project, Ashman
Street will be reduced to one lane of
traffic from Baker Street to Buttles
Street, to install water main in that
area. Buttles Street will
be reduced to one lane from Jerome to McDonald
Street to install the water main across Buttles
Street at Ashman. Indian
Street from Rodd
Street to Gordon
Street will then be reduced to one lane
when the water main is installed across that street.
Cross
streets will experience intermittent street and lane closures during the first
phase of the project.
The entire
project is estimated to be complete by the end of September.
