PORTIONS OF ASHMAN STREET CLOSED

BEGINNING THURSDAY

 

Ashman Street between Baker and Nelson streets will be closed to through traffic beginning Thursday, July 21, weather permitting. This is part of the ongoing Ashman Street reconstruction project.

 

This closure is necessary to complete underground water main and storm sewer replacements.

 

A detour will be posted using Nelson Street, Jefferson Avenue, Haley Street and Carpenter Street. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately six weeks.

 

Also on Thursday, July 21 (weather permitting), Ashman Street between Buttles and Ellsworth streets will be closed for paving operations that are part of the Ashman Streetscape project. During this time, final paving will also occur at the intersection of Ashman and Larkin streets.

 

Detours will be posted using Buttles, McDonald and Main streets. The closure is expected to last approximately two days.
