BUTTLES STREET LANE CLOSURES STARTING MONDAY
Beginning Monday,
August 15, Buttles Street is scheduled to have various lane changes at
Ashman
Street to accommodate concrete pavement installation.
This work is part
of the Ashman Street Reconstruction project.
Completion of the Buttles Street paving project is estimated at two
weeks, weather permitting.
Upcoming travel
lane restrictions for the Ashman Street Reconstruction
project in the next month will likely occur on Indian Street for paving operations. In addition, Ashman Street remains closed from Nelson Street to Carpenter Street primarily to accommodate underground water main
and storm sewer work. Related detours are posted and are expected to
remain in place for approximately four more weeks, weather
permitting.
With the 2005 construction season now underway, motorists
are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by
subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland
website at www.midland-mi.org under the “What’s
