CUP AND CHAUCER COFFEE BAR

CELEBRATES ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It was one year ago on September 22 that the Cup and Chaucer Coffee Bar Grand Opening was held at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.  To celebrate this anniversary and a great first year, the community is invited to stop by during coffee bar open hours the week of September 18.

Throughout the week, there will be daily anniversary specials, chocolate kisses, coupon bookmarks, drawings for mugs and, on September 22, birthday cookies. Cup and Chaucer mugs will also be sold. If someone brings their Cup and Chaucer mug with them on subsequent visits to the coffee bar, they will receive a reduced charge on their coffee.

Customers are reminded that for a trial period they may take their covered drinks to other areas of the library. However, drinks are not allowed in the Local History/Genealogy Room or by the computers.

The Cup and Chaucer Coffee Bar is operated by the Arnold Center in partnership with the library. Construction and start-up costs were funded from donations from local foundations. The coffee bar provides a relaxing area to enjoy refreshments, read or socialize.

“The response from the community has been very positive,” said Library Director Melissa Barnard. “Likewise, the partnership between the library and the Arnold Center has been very successful.”

Cup and Chaucer hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
