CITY’S MICROSURFACING PROGRAM

STARTS TUESDAY

 

The City of Midland’s annual microsurfacing treatment program will begin on Tuesday, June 28 on local streets throughout the city. Microsurfacing involves applying a thin asphalt overlay to the roadway to prolong the life of the bituminous pavement.

 

Sections of the following streets will undergo resurfacing treatment:

 

Airport Rd

Wildwood

Perrine

Claremont

Commerce

Evart

State Street

Foster

Avalon

Montague

Chapel

Timber

Timber

Whitehall

 

The project is estimated to be complete by early July.

 

With the 2005 construction season now underway, motorists are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland website at www.midland-mi.org under the “What’s New/Updates” heading.
