SWEDE AVENUE AND ASHMAN STREET INTERSECTION

CLOSED STARTING MONDAY

Starting Monday, August 1, the intersection of Swede Avenue and Ashman Street will be closed to through traffic until Saturday, August 6 for a storm sewer and water main installation project.

The closure is part of a Swede Avenue reconstruction and resurfacing project from Patrick Road to E. Ashman Street that is expected to be completed by late September.

Traffic will be detoured via Sharon Road, E. St. Andrews Road, Washington Street, Eastlawn Drive and E. Ashman Street. A map detailing the detour routes is posted on the City’s construction updates web page at www.midland-mi.org. Look under the “What’s New/Updates” heading.

Motorists are also encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City of Midland website at www.midland-mi.org under the “What’s New/Updates” heading.
