CITY OF MIDLAND ZONING MAP
NOW ONLINE
As part of the City
of Midland’s continuing efforts to increase the
availability of information online, a zoning map of Midland is now on the City’s website.
Midland’s
zoning map reflects the division of the city into areas - or zones - that
specify allowable uses for real property. The zones identified on the map
also limit the size and area for buildings within these areas. The zoning map implements policies of the city’s Master Plan, and is
approved by Midland City Council. The map is current and reflects changes
implemented in the recently-updated Zoning Ordinance, which went into effect January 1, 2005 and can also be
accessed on the Community Development site.
The zoning
map is available electronically on the City’s website at www.midland-mi.org in graphic form that
users can scroll through, or as a more detailed file in Acrobat PDF format that
allows more flexibility for zooming in on specific areas of the city. An index
of the streets in Midland is
also available in PDF format. To locate the map and street index on the website,
simply click on the Community Development link under the Services heading;
choose the Planning link; then select Zoning.
Midland
citizens without access to computers, or for those who would like a
high-resolution printout of the map, hard copies are available through the
City’s Planning Department at Midland City
Hall, 333
W. Ellsworth Street.
