CITY OF MIDLAND OFFICE CLOSINGS FOR

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAY

All City of Midland offices will close Friday, December 22 and Monday, December 25, in recognition of the Christmas holiday and Monday, January 1, in recognition of the New Year's holiday.

Residents with Friday refuse and recycling collections should place items at the curb on Thursday, December 21. Residents with Monday collections should place items at the curb on Tuesday, December 26 and January 2. Place items at the curb no later than 8:00 a.m. to ensure collection, as the schedule accelerates due to the double collection.

The City’s sanitary landfill will be closed Friday, December 22 through Monday, December 25 and Saturday, December 30 through Monday, January 1.

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed on Saturday, December 23 through Monday, December 25 and Sunday, December 31 through Monday, January 1. The library will be open on Friday, December 22 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Dial-A-Ride transportation service will operate Friday, December 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Phone service will be available from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. DART will operate Saturdays, December 23 and December 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Phone service will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the last pickup at 8:00 p.m. DART will operate Sundays, December 24 and 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the last pickup at 6:00 p.m. There will be no phone service. DART will not operate on Mondays, December 25 or January 1. DART will operate regular service hours Tuesday, December 26, 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Phone service will be available from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Barstow Airport will be unattended Sunday and Monday, December 24 and 25, and Monday, January 1.
