EASTMAN
AVENUE
TRAFFIC STUDY TOPIC OF
SEPTEMBER 6 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
Traffic
consulting firm, DLZ of Michigan, Inc., will be back in front of Midland City Council on Wednesday, September 6, at 7 p.m. to present their review of Eastman Avenue traffic
improvement suggestions made by the community during the Eastman Avenue Traffic
Study survey conducted earlier this year.
Last
December, DLZ presented the community with alternatives for improving traffic
along one of Midland’s
busiest corridors – Eastman Avenue
from Wackerly Street
to Commerce Drive. Public input opportunities following that
presentation resulted in many traffic improvement suggestions from the
community, which DLZ has spent the last several months investigating. Wednesday’s presentation will include a recap
of the three original traffic improvement alternatives, a review of the
community’s suggestions and discussion on what the next steps will be in the Eastman Avenue
improvement process.
Citizens
are invited to attend the meeting in Midland City Hall Council Chambers or view
the meeting live on MGTV-5. The Council meeting will also available via
streaming video on the City’s website (www.midland-mi.org).
