CITY OF MIDLAND OFFICE CLOSINGS FOR

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAY

December 14, 2007 – All City of Midland offices will close Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25, in recognition of the Christmas holiday and Tuesday, January 1, in recognition of the New Year's holiday.

Residents with Monday refuse and recycling collections should place items at the curb on Friday, December 21. Residents with Tuesday collections should place items at the curb on Wednesdays, December 26 and January 2. Place items at the curb no later than 8:00 a.m. to ensure collection, as the schedule accelerates due to the double collection.

The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be closed Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1.

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1. The library will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31.

Dial-A-Ride transportation service will operate Monday, December 24 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the last pickup at 5:30 p.m. Phone service will be available from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. DART will be closed on Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1. DART will operate Monday, December 31 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the last pickup at 5:30 p.m. Phone service will be available from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended Monday, December 24, Tuesday, December 25 and Tuesday, January 1.
