CITY OF MIDLAND ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
FOR SECOND ANNUAL
CITIZENS ACADEMY
November 30, 2007 – The
City of Midland is pleased to announce the second annual Midland Citizens
Academy – a free, nine-week course designed to give citizens an up-close and
personal look at how city government functions and helps to shape our
community.
Through nine two-hour sessions, participants will receive a
first-hand look and in-depth understanding of how local government functions in
the city of Midland. Through presentations and facility tours,
each session will demonstrate the role and responsibility of
the various City departments and the services they provide to the
community. Participants will also gain a
better understanding of the role Midland city
government plays in the quality of life that Midlanders
enjoy.

30, 2008. Academy sessions will take place each
consecutive Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30
p.m. from January 30 to
