DEADLINE FOR WRITE-IN CANDIDATES TO FILE

DECLARATION OF INTENT

FOR NOVEMBER 6, 2007 CITY COUNCIL ELECTION

October 19, 2007 – All write-in candidates who wish to be nominated and are eligible for a City Council seat in the City of Midland are required under P. A. 461 of 1996 to file a “Declaration of Intent” with the Midland City Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2007. Write-in votes cast for a candidate who has not filed a “Declaration of Intent” in advance of the election will not be counted.

“Declaration of Intent” forms for the November 6, 2007 City Council Election may be obtained from the Midland City Clerk’s Office at 333 W. Ellsworth, Midland, Mich.
