DENISE HUFFORD NAMED

INTERIM DIRECTOR OF DDA

September 28, 2007 – Denise Hufford has been appointed Interim Executive Director for Midland’s Downtown Development Authority (DDA).  Hufford replaces Christin Schwenke, who resigned from the post to accept a position at Bolger + Battle, Inc., effective October 1.

Hufford has worked for the City of Midland since 1998, first at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library and then as the DDA’s Downtown Events Coordinator, a position to which she was promoted in May 2006. 

Hufford holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University.
