June 27, 2008 – All City of Midland offices will be closed on Friday, July 4 in recognition of Independence Day.
Refuse and recyclables will not be collected on Friday, July 4. Instead, a double pickup will be made on Monday, July 7. Residents who live on streets normally scheduled for Friday collection should place refuse and recyclables at the curb by 8 a.m. Monday to help ensure collection.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed Friday, July 4 but will maintain its normal Saturday hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Library is closed on Sundays until September 7.
Dial-A-Ride Transportation System will close on Friday, July 4 but will operate regular bus services on Saturday and Sunday.
The Sanitary Landfill will be closed Friday, July 4. The Landfill will be open on Saturday, July 5 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Jack Barstow Municipal Airport
will be unattended on Friday.
The Summer Supervised Playground Program will not take place on Friday, July 4.
