ANNUAL PAVEMENT MARKING PROGRAM BEGINS

May 9, 2008 – Between May 12 and June 16, P.K. Contracting, Inc. of Lake City, Mich., will repaint the white and yellow lines that serve as markings on Midland’s major roadways.  Much of the work will be completed at night, but some daytime work will also occur.

No streets will be closed during this work; however, motorists may experience minor delays.  Motorists should maintain a reasonable distance from the related work operations, and avoid crossing freshly painted areas if possible. 

Motorists are encouraged to sign up for weekly and last-minute City of Midland construction updates by subscribing to City Hall News on the City’s website at www.midland-mi.org; a link to the subscription page is on the Home Page.  In addition, construction news is kept up-to-date on the City’s construction updates web page; a link to that page is also on the site’s Home Page.
