CITY OF MIDLAND SEEKS COMMISSION MEMBERS:
APPLICATION DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 17

 

August 27, 2010 – Midland residents interested in historic preservation are invited to apply for one of two positions available on the City of Midland’s West Main Street Historic District Commission.

 

The West Main Street Historic District Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on the development and administration of guidelines for all work on structures within the West Main Street Historic District.  This commission meets quarterly.

 

Applications for two citizen-at-large positions on the commission will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2010.  Forms can be obtained from the City of Midland website, www.midland-mi.org, or through the City Manager’s Office, 333 W. Ellsworth St.

 

Applicants must be city residents.  All persons who have previously applied for a board or commission vacancy are asked to submit a new application.  

 

Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview with Midland City Council at a time yet to be determined.

·         Two citizen-at-large positions, one with a term expiring June 30, 2011, and another with a term expiring June 30, 2013.
