April 15, 2011 –
The City of Midland
Major Street projects that
could affect citizens’ travel routes are described below. Also, a complete list of 2011 projects, including
estimated start and completion dates, is described in the table below.
Joe Mann Boulevard from Eastman Avenue to Cinema Drive, Bay City Road from Saginaw to Waldo, and Waldo Avenue from Salzburg to Contractor Drive will be reconstructed. The City anticipates street closures during the projects, and detours will be posted.
In addition, the intersection of Waldo and Patrick will be widened. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures during this project.
Street reconstruction activities will also take place on several local streets. Dawn Drive, Birchfield Drive, Fernside Street, Greenway Drive, and Townsend Street will undergo selective curb replacement, sidewalk repairs, ramp replacements, and street paving activities.
