December 7, 2011 – With
winter weather now upon us, it’s time to put away the rakes and bring out the
snow shovels. It’s also time to start wrapping
up fall leaf and yard waste collections for the year.
Bulk leaf collection in the city of Midland has ended, but
yard waste collection in bins and kraft paper compost bags will continue until Friday,
December 16.
Residents who wish to dispose of
any remaining leaves or yard waste should place them in kraft paper compost
bags or City yard waste bins and set them at the curb on your refuse collection
day. In addition, any leaves remaining in the street need to be placed in
compost bags or bins and set out on your refuse collection day. The 35-cent yard waste collection stickers are
not required for the remainder of the collection period.
The City will resume yard waste collection in the spring.
