The City of Midland
Major street projects that
could affect citizens’ travel routes are described below. Also, a complete list of 2012 projects,
including estimated start and completion dates, is provided in the table below.
Poseyville Road from the Poseyville Road Bridge to the city limits, S. Saginaw Road from Waldo to 2300’ north, and Salzburg Road from Saginaw to Waldo will be reconstructed. The City anticipates street and lane closures during the projects, and detours will be posted.
In addition, the intersection of Jefferson and Wackerly streets will be widened. Dublin Avenue from Saginaw Road to 300’ south of the Pere Marquette Rail-Trail will be widened and a new sanitary sewer installed.
Street reconstruction activities will also take place on several local streets. Chestnut Hill Drive, Sweetbrier Terrace, and Hines Street will undergo selective curb replacement, sidewalk repairs, ramp replacements, and street paving activities.
